Vegas baby...

So no update for a week…

Where to Start…?!

It’s pretty hard to sum up the last week in a few sentences but i can start with saying it’s been a f-king mess!

To Start with i was worried to leave the van with the “kids” in the french mountains when i left for the team-camp.

But when Niklas called me on Thursday atelling me “we are on the road to the dh in Peille & just lost the backwheel” it got a lot worse!

It was actually the whole axle for the Wheel that broke down wich made it pretty complicated.

Well first of all it took the franch tow-truck company more then 24hours just to get the van to a wv-garage….

A million phonecalls, a 15km walk, and a trashed rental-car later we finally on Thursday got told that we Would have the van back on Friday (yesterday) but not untill 4 p.m.

Problem no. 257. We got kicked out of the apartment in Peille at 10 o clock and had to leave the rental-car before 2 o clock.

What to do?

We loaded up the van with the 15 bikes & all the gear, Left Peille, had lunch & then rocked up at the Wolksvagen-garage in Nice. Dropped ALL of our gear outside the garage and then me & Simon went to return what was left of the rental on the other side of Nice.

A ride on the tramway later we were back at the garage, car fixed and i just had to take care of the massive bill. We left from there prettymuch the same second the receipt was printed and keys wree hended back

I drove 11hours straight last night so here we are in a nice 6 sunny spain and i just had a spin on the bike.

Well this was the ULTRA-short story of the week but the content of each day has prettymuch just been FML untill we actually got the car back and got going again a week delayed.

Ofcourse we got some riding in. Videos on Monday!

Going to hang around in Malaga for a while now so i’ll keep you posted.

When the hard times are coming...

Yesterday was a long one for all of us.

First 2 hours of xc-skiing wich was pretty painfull on the high altitude weŕe at.

Then skiing in the afternoon. I switched to snowboard but it was pretty windy & snowing so we quit earlie.

And then we topped it up with a one hour hike in the mountain up to a resturant.

Pretty cool hike, god food but i felt like i could roll down the mountain on the way back after all the food.

The only one that didnt seem to suffer o much was Stephané...

Got a sms from Niklas that it was raining 24/7 in Peille where the rest of the scandos are staying now so i feel lucky being here in the snow.

Over & out

Mt.Genevre!

So here i am in the alps just finnished the first day on this weeks team-camp.

To get here i took a train from Nice to Grenoble. Might sound like piece of cake but being a swede with not a single phrase of french in the bag it felt sketchy!

Nearly got lost already at Nice station but i survived and made it to Grenoble where Remi picked me up.

Today we have just been alpine-skiing the full day enjoying the good weather & snow.

All good except that my skiis sucked!

Sounds like a easy day but it has been pretty intense skiing so iḿ actually feeling it a bit.

Well tomorrow will be harder for sure. XC-skiing in the moning & then we are going for a long hike in the afternoon.

I actually look forward to suffer a bit tomorrow.

See ya!

Finally some dh-action

Alrighty then we are in San Remo after 3300km of glorious driving from a snowy Sweden.

On the way we picked up my bikes at Sunn HQ in St. Gaudens didn´t have time to hang around for to long but a quick lunch and of we went.

I got a stock bike to ride for now untill my race-bike is ready but it has almost the same components that i will have later on.
Anyway prettymuch everything is different on it so i´m not feeling 100% on it just yet.

Ofcourse we got lost on some sketchy mountain-roads coming into San Romolo but we got there safely to 8 degrees & sunshine.

But that was not to be it!

We woke up to snow yesterday and it actually ended up snowing just about 24hours so basicly we got the same crappy weather that we left from back in Viking-land 46 hours earlier.

Anyway today it´s been back to sunshine and the termometer is back on the plus-side.

Went for a xc ride on the morning today in the snow and then we had dh-runs in the afternoon. First run felt all weird but then i got into it but still not used to the new bike just yet.
Track was full of snow the first run but it got cleared pretty quick.

Now it´s dinnertime. Tomorrow i will just try to get as many runs in as possible and on sunday i´m leaving the swedish-crew for a 5day camp with the team in Mt. Genevre. Look forward to that!

Over & out

Peace out!

Bloggen uppdateras troligast dagligen.

Update!

Bonjour!
